A Priceless Possession.

What personal belongings do you hold most dear?

Ouff! I honestly cherish lots of things that I have especially if I had gotten from a close one; a love one, a close friend, an acquaintance whom i’ve got this little connection with.

I hold gifts and any little act of gifting to heart. It’s so warm and beautiful when you get gifts from people even for the little occasions; birthday gifts, random gifts, and appreciation gifts for who you are.

Gifts are underappreciated. Especially, physical gifts; it just honestly stuck with you for years, reminding you of who had gifted you, how lovely the moments were and how, such an act of kindness came wholeheartedly from the gifter.

My Mom was the perfect gifter who loves gifting me and my siblings for every occasion; either it’s our birthdays, random days or just gifts to console us if she had offended us.

There were times where we wouldn’t  have expected to get scolded cause’ we were just kids exploring the world, you know. But, my mom, was really strict though lovely and lively too. She would usually scold us every instance she notices we’re doing things out of the way or going out of alignment.

After every scold, she’d look at us, with a smiley filled with joy, and she’d use her to caress us – cajoling us that we shouldn’t have done what we had that way.

She’d then go ahead to get us chocolates, sodas, and most times, she’d prepare a sumptuous meal reminding us of how much she cares for us.

What I had cherished most were the time I had spent with her. Those beautiful early morning singing moments, the hugs, the advice, the splendour of making us realize how beautiful a mother’s love was.

It was worthwhile although it ended.

I own two gifts which she had given to me; a hoodie and some piece of native wear. These two clothing are so special to me and I hold them with high regard to heart.

Every put-on makes me reminisce how she showered me with love, how she reassured me that the connection we shared won’t wither and, would continue to blossom.

Every piece on the clothes reminds me of how soft her touches were; pleasant, impeccable and, with little to no hesitation, wholesome.

Each clothing holds significance of how she was in my life – how much her attention was needed for directions, guidance and a good pathway in life.

The gifts are and will be as special and priceless as she was.
