A Public Figure I Disagree With

What public figure do you disagree with the most?

I’ve honestly got lots of favorite public figure whom i’ve looked up too for development of different aspects of my life — Growth, Knowledge, Lifestyle and spiritual life too.

It’s really tough having one to disagree with but as always, human are inevitable of not having choices. We do have choices and other times, we feel biased on various issues we feel about.

It’s not honestly a crime or sin to be feel indifferent. We have emotions and we do not lack the ability to be expressive of it. We have the ability and it’s all thankful to God himself.

Recently, i’ve been feeling indifferent about a public figure i’ve always believe in; He’s a political, intellectual and a writer. A Nobel Laureate winner. He’s. ‘Wole Soyinka’.

I’ve honestly been engrossed in using his writings and literal teachings to live and take up some decisions in my life. His works are such beautiful great of Art.

He do not only write, he speaks and does all these flawlessly, impacting his knowledge unto his readers. Blessed with great education, his literacy acts have also been poured into me.

I emulate him in mostly, poems I write, books I also write and most times, looking into the world as he had. My perception is slightly different from his.

Aside him, i’ve always loved Shakespeare too. Shakespeare literally convey his feelings impeccably with his writings. His poems and acts of conversing are no doubts glorious and heavenly. If ever he was alive, i’d have hugged him so tight – So tight it would take me hours to let go.

Now into why I disagree with Wole Soyinka, he’s been into Politics; Too deep into a field he ought not to be in. I admire his way of voicing out on issues but not politically.

Politically, I see him as being biased and being a nepostis. He dosen’t act straight forward like his word on his books; He acts different. His take on political issues is only favourable for his tribe.

He’s one who I expect to be extremely introspective and not believing in what he’s heard and been told. He talks on political issues and take side with his Kingsmen.

I don’t know if he’s scared but I see him as a courageous man who always stands on his words irrespective of what position you hold. Everyone may be the same but, Soyinka do not have to change his principles to fit in.

That’s why I also do not agree to the saying ‘If you can’t beat them, join them’. It doesn’t make sense to me. I believe if one solutions or way of changing or challenging an issues, there’s always another way to tackle it.

In the long run of life, we always have two routes and to everything in life, we’re always opened to countering whatever we don’t feel right with and not by agreeing with the ideology that we can’t challenge or change whatever goes on.

I’ve been sad Soyinka has deviated from his philosophy to please the tyrant that runs political issues in the country. I believe he can move neutral.

He can always take another route politically than agreeing with the ruthless and selfish rulers who only feed on their ego and on themselves.

The day that time comes, probably I would change my perception about him ‘Politically’.
